 This page relates to the recruitment of departmental candidates by the Southern Railway for the posts of Commercial Clerk, Ticket Examiner, Clerk Cum Typist through General Departmental Competitive Examination.

General Departmental Competitive Examination has been announced by the Southern Railway for the following posts.

Commercial Clerk ... 16 posts
Ticket Examiner......61 Posts
Clerk Cum Typist....40 posts.

Total 117 posts.

i) Commercial Clerk

ii) Ticket Examiner
 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with   not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.  50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and for candidates who are graduates.
iii) Clerk-cum-Typist 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with  not less than 50%  marks in the aggregate.  50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and for candidates who are Graduates.
Typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English / 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer / Typewriter.

HOW TO APPLY



Eligible  Group  ‘C’  &  Group  ‘D’  regular  employees  may submit   their applications  in  the  enclosed  prescribed  format,after  duly  filling  all  the  columns,including  their  option of  categories and  the  same  shall  be  verified  and  certified  in  the appropriate column by the concerned Supervisory Officials. Any information given in the application,  if  found  false  or  incorrect  at  a  later  stage  will  result  in  disqualification of candidates,apart from initiation of disciplinary action. 

(b) The eligible volunteers should send their application duly filled in & certified by  Supervisory  Officials  in  the  prescribed  format directly to  RRC/Chennai  to  the address  mentioned  below  by  post  or  in  person.  The  last  date  and  time  for  receipt  of applications  in  RRC/Chennai  is 01.08.2016  at  17.30  hours.

The  last  date  & time for receipt of application in RRC is “SACRO SANCT”.  There is no need to attach the attested copies of certificates in proof of their passing  Matriculation, +2/Pre-Degree and Degree in any discipline for educational qualifications and Community Certificate in the case  of  SC/ST/OBC,    which  will  be  called  and  verified  for  the  qualified  candidates during document verification.
